5-Ethoxy-2-pyrimidinamine is an intermediate used to prepare triazolopyrimidine and imidazopyrimidine derivatives as inhibitors of PI3K/Akt pathway useful in the treatment of diseases. It is also used to prepare sulfonamide derivatives as angiotensin II receptor antagonists/PPARγ activators.
