Methyl 4-Ethyl-iodobenzoate is used in the preparation of DDR1 (Discoidin Domain Receptor 1) inhibitors. Inhibitor in the proliferation of cancer cells exhibiting high levels of DDR1. Also used in the synthesis of GZD824, an inhibitor used in the treatment of chronic myelogenous leukemia.
