(2R)-4-Pentyn-2-ol is an intermediate used in the synthesis of (R)-Ochratoxin α (O148525), which is used in the synthesis of Ochratoxin A (O148490). Ochratoxins are toxic metabolites from Aspergillus ochraceus. Also they are environmental and food contaminants.
