The UDP-glucuronosyltransferases are phase II metabolic enzymes involved with detoxification processes (ie. drug metabolism) in the human body. In particular, UGT2B7 is responsible for the glucuronidation of approximately 40% of drugs that are metabolized by UGT enzymes.β-Phenyllongifolol is an inhibitor ofUGT2B7.
