Iodoethane-13C2 is an isotopic analog of Iodoethane (I705870), which is used in a variety of organic chemical reactions including the synthesis of disubstituted α-amino acids through alkylation reaction. It is also used in electrochemical reduction reactions in the preparation of carbamates.
