(S)-3-Amino-2-methyl-1-propanol, is a reagent used in the preparation of novel pyrazolo[4,​3-​e]​[1,​2,​4]​triazine sulfonamides which are used as carbonic anhydrase inhibitors. Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors are used for their anticancer activity in human breast cancer cell lines.
