1-(R)-Hydroxy Frovatriptan is a derivative of ent-Frovatriptan (F768505), which is a serotonin 5-HT1B/1D receptor agonist and used as a triptan drug for treating migraine headaches (1,2,3). ent-Frovatriptan causes vasoconstriction of arteries and veins that supply blood to the head. Also, it is an intermediate in the preparation of Frovatriptan. An impurity of Frovatriptan (F768500).
