2-(4-Chlorophenyl)-1-phenylethanone is an intermediate in the synthesis of pyrrobutamine which is antihistaminic. Also used as a reagent on the synthesis of 2,3-diaryl-6,7-dihydro-5H-1,4-diazepines which display antileukemic annd antiplatelet properties.
