3-​Benzylaniline is used to synthesize pyrrolidine carboxamides as inhibitors of Mycobacterial enoyl acyl carrier protein reductase. It is used to prepare nipecotic bis(amide) inhibitors of the Rho/MKL1/SRF transcriptional pathway as potential anti-metastasis agents.
