2,4,6-Trimethylpyrylium Tetrafluoroborate was used for improving method of MS-sequencing of short peptides by manual or automatic algorithms. It was also used as a reagent in the preparation of N-(methylphenylamino)-2,4,6-trimethylpyridinium tetrafluoroborate.
