4,4,5,5-Tetramethyl-2-{spiro[4.5]dec-7-en-8-yl}-1,3,2-dioxaborolane is used as a reagent in the preparation of imidazolecarboxamide compounds as c-Fms kinase inhibitors. These inhibitors are useful in the prevention of diseases which include autoimmune diseases.
