N-[1-(1-naphthalenyl)ethyl]-4-nitrobenzenesulfonamide is used in the synthesis of (+)-NPS R-568 and Cinacalcet which are calcimimetic agents; Also, it is derived from 4-Nitrobenzenesulfonyl Chloride (N493535), which is used in the preparation of N-Nosyl-α-amino acid for peptide synthesis.
