2-Bromo-1-[3-(phenylmethoxy)phenyl]-1-propanone is an intermediate for the synthesis of Threo-Metaraminol Fumarate Salt (T404502), which is an impurity of M225565. It is used in pharmacodynamic studies such as the prediction of pressor activity of some phenylethylamine derivatives by applying a pattern recognition method. It was one of 40 phenylethylamine derivatives analysed for blood pressure-raising activity in this study.
